P5.3 SDO data search using metadata in KDC for SDO

We have constructed Korea Data Center for the Solar Dynamics Observatory (KDC for SDO). The SDO comprises three instruments, the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA), the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI), and the Extreme Ultraviolet Variability Experiment (EVE). We archive AIA and HMI FITS data. The size of data is about 1TB of a day. The goal of KDC for SDO is to provide easy and fast data access service to researchers in Asia. In order to improve the data search rate, we designed the system to search data without going through a process of database query. The fields of instrument name, wavelength, data path, date, and time are saved as a text file. This metadata file and SDO FITS data can be simply accessed via HTTP and are open to the public. We present a process of creating metadata and a way to access SDO FITS data in detail.
